Pruebas de optimización de la flotación del oro nativo presente en los minerales auríferos de la mina La Esperanza – El Ingenio - Nasca

Abstract

La tesis, “PRUEBAS DE OPTIMIZACIÓN DE LA FLOTACIÓN DEL ORO NATIVO PRESENTE EN LOS MINERALES AURÍFEROS DE LA MINA LA ESPERANZA – EL INGENIO - NASCA.”, se realizó ante la necesidad de mejorar la recuperación del oro nativo presente en los minerales auríferos de la Mina Esperanza, ya que por sus propiedades hidrofílicas es complicado realizar su flotación; pero, con el control de ciertas variables de operación, como son la concentración del colector A-242 , la granulometría óptima y el tiempo adecuado de flotación, se consiguen mejoras muy significativas. Para conseguir esta Optimización hemos utilizado el algoritmo de yates , para lo cual tenemos que correr 8 pruebas de flotación preseleccionadas en rangos empíricos de las variables seleccionadas a evaluar. Hemos aplicado este diseño experimental y los resultados obtenidos nos han permitido hacer la mejora correspondiente con una máxima recuperación de valores de este mineral aurífero de la mina Esperanza. Pongo pues a disposición de los Ingenieros Metalúrgicos este pequeño aporte para cuando se presenten en su camino el tratamiento de este tipo de minerales auríferos con ganga cuarzosa.

The thesis, "FLOTATION OPTIMIZATION TESTS OF NATIVE GOLD PRESENT IN THE GOLD-BEARING ORES OF THE LA ESPERANZA MINE - EL INGENIO - NASCA," was conducted in response to the need to improve the recovery of native gold present in the gold-bearing ores of the Esperanza Mine. Due to its hydrophilic properties, flotation is difficult. However, by controlling certain operating variables, such as the concentration of the A-242 collector, optimal particle size distribution, and adequate flotation time, very significant improvements are achieved. To achieve this optimization, we used the Yates algorithm, which required running eight preselected flotation tests within empirical ranges of the selected variables to be evaluated. We applied this experimental design, and the results obtained allowed us to make the corresponding improvements, maximizing the recovery of this gold-bearing ore from the Esperanza Mine. I am therefore making this small contribution available to metallurgical engineers when they come across the treatment of this type of gold-bearing mineral with quartz gangue.
