Nivel de conocimiento sobre posturas ergonómicas relacionado al riesgo postural en alumnos del octavo y décimo ciclo de la facultad de Odontología Ica, 2024

Abstract

El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre posturas ergonómicas y el riesgo postural en estudiantes del octavo y décimo ciclo de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Nacional San Luis Gonzaga, Ica, 2024. Se llevó a cabo un estudio básico, con enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental, de corte transversal y prospectivo. La población y muestra estuvo conformada por todos los alumnos del octavo y décimo ciclo siendo un total de 95 alumnos. Para la recolección de datos se aplicó una encuesta, para medir el nivel de conocimiento sobre posturas ergonómicas, y se empleó la observación directa para evaluar el riesgo postural. Respecto a la dimensión cuello, piernas y tronco no se encontró relación significativa con el nivel de conocimiento (p = 0.147). En cuanto a la dimensión de los brazo, antebrazos y muñecas no se encontró relación significativa con el nivel de conocimiento (p = 0.312). Respecto al sexo femenino, el 34.7% (33) y el sexo masculino, 22.1% presentó conocimiento regular. En cuanto a la edad el grupo de 21 a 23 años presentó un nivel de conocimiento regular 42.1% (40). En conclusión, no existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento y el riesgo postural ergonómico en estudiantes del octavo y décimo ciclo de la Facultad de Odontología, Ica, 2024.


The study aimed to determine the level of knowledge about ergonomic postures related to postural risk in students of the eighth and tenth cycle of the Faculty of Dentistry Ica, 2024. A basic study was carried out, with a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and prospective approach. The population and sample consisted of all students of the eighth and tenth cycle, making a total of 95 students. For data collection, a survey was applied to measure the level of knowledge about ergonomic postures, and direct observation was used to assess postural risk. Regarding the neck, legs and trunk dimensions, no significant relationship was found with the level of knowledge (p = 0.147). Regarding the dimensions of the arms, forearms and wrists, no significant relationship was found with the level of knowledge (p = 0.312). Regarding the female sex, 34.7% (33) and males, 22.1% presented regular knowledge. Regarding age, the 21 to 23 age group presented a regular level of knowledge 42.1% (40). In conclusion, there is no statistically significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the ergonomic postural risk in students of the eighth and tenth cycle of the Faculty of Dentistry, Ica, 2024.
