Resumen
Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de relación de la enfermedad periodontal y los factores
socioeconómicos/ambientales, en estudiantes con habilidades diferentes del Centro de Educación
Básica Especial “Santa Cecilia” del distrito Chincha Alta y del Centro de Educación Básica
Especial “San Clemente” del distrito de San Clemente, Pisco – Ica 2024. Metodología: Esta
investigación es tipo observacional, transversal, prospectivo, analítico, correlacional y
descriptivo. Se evaluaron a 108 estudiantes por medio del Índice Periodontal de Russell y una
encuesta. Resultados: Se reportó que los estudiantes presentaron gingivitis leve (GL) con un
48%, en cuanto a la relación entre la enfermedad periodontal (EP) y la higiene oral el 41.7% de
los estudiantes con regular higiene oral presentaron GL. En cuanto a la relación entre la EP y los
hábitos alimenticios el 34.3% de los estudiantes con hábitos alimenticios bajos presentaron GL.
En cuanto a la relación entre la EP y el compromiso familiar el 22.2% de los estudiantes con alto
compromiso familiar presentaron GL. En cuanto a la relación entre la EP y el nivel
socioeconómico el 36.1% de los estudiantes con nivel socioeconómico medio presentaron GL. El
25% de los estudiantes donde el factor socioeconómico/ambiental se presenta nivel medio
presentaron GL. Conclusión: Existe una relación significativa entre la enfermedad periodontal y
factores socioeconómicos/ambientales, en estudiantes con habilidades diferentes del Centro de
Educación Básica Especial “Santa Cecilia” del distrito Chincha Alta y del Centro de Educación
Básica Especial “San Clemente” del distrito de San Clemente, Pisco- Ica 2024.
Objective: To determine the level of relationship between periodontal disease and socioeconomic/environmental factors in students with different abilities at the “Santa Cecilia” Special Basic Education Center in the district of Chincha Alta and the “San Clemente” Special Basic Education Center in the district of San Clemente, Pisco- Ica 2024. Methodology: This research is observational, cross-sectional, prospective, analytical, correlational and descriptive. A total of 108 students were evaluated by means of the Russell Periodontal Index and a survey. Results: It was reported that students presented mild gingivitis (GL) with 48%, regarding the relationship between periodontal disease (PD) and oral hygiene 41.7% of students with regular oral hygiene presented GL. Regarding the relationship between PD and eating habits, 34.3% of the students with low eating habits presented GL. Regarding the relationship between PD and family involvement, 22.2% of the students with high family involvement presented GL. Regarding the relationship between PD and socioeconomic level 36.1% of the students with medium socioeconomic level presented GL. Twenty-five percent of the students where the socioeconomic/environmental factor was presented medium level presented GL. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between periodontal disease and socioeconomic/environmental factors in students with different abilities at the “Santa Cecilia” Special Basic Education Center in the district of Chincha Alta and the “San Clemente” Special Basic Education Center in the district of San Clemente, Pisco- Ica 2024.
