The overall objective of the research is to determine whether the design of the drilling and blasting grid influences the operational indicators of pits – Mincotrall S.R.L. – U.E. San Andrés 2024. It is an applied, explanatory, experimental study, and the sample consists of the Valeria I, II, and III mining areas relevant to the San Andrés U.E. in 2024. The study shows that redesigning the drilling and blasting grid had a favorable impact on the operational indicators of the pits, increasing productivity, regularity between chambers, geometric control, and conditions for loading and safety. In conical bars, average yield rose from 95.75% (Jan–May) to 112.39% (Jun–Dec), an increase of +16.64 pp (+17.4%); Maximums: 132.70% (Dec), 127.30% (Jun), and 126.40% (Nov); minimums: 92.00% (Jul) and 94.60% (Sep). For conical drill bits, the average rose from 97.44% to 115.67%, +18.23 pp (+18.7%); highs: 125.70% (Dec), 120.70% (Jul and Oct) and 119.40% (Nov); minimum: 99.90% (Jun). Overall, annual performance exceeds 100% in both KPIs (bars 105.46%; drill bits 108.07%), corroborating the hypothesis and supporting parameter standardization, statistical control, and replication of best practices.
