Resumen
La presente investigación titulada “Influencia de la presión y temperatura en la eficiencia de la lixiviación de la galena empleando ácido nítrico”, es una investigación que por su tipo es aplicada, por
su nivel explicativo y por su diseño experimental, cuyo objetivo es determinar la influencia
del ácido nítrico en la lixiviación de la galena, para refrendar la hipótesis se hicieron
pruebas experimentales en las cuales en primer lugar se establecieron los parámetros de la
lixiviación como la granulometría del mineral, la temperatura de operación, el tiempo de
residencia, la concentración del ácido nítrico. Para todos estos parámetros se diseñaron las
experiencias demostrativas que permitieron ir recabando la información necesaria para
fundamentar el trabajo de investigación. Se determinó que la concentración adecuada del
ácido nítrico es de 14%, la temperatura de trabajo que permite una lixiviación rápida y
eficiente es de 40°C cuando la presión del sistema es de 820 mm de Hg. Se trabajo con un
mineral de granulometría malla # 400 condiciones que permitieron realizar la lixiviación
en un tiempo de 60 minutos.
The present research entitled “INFLUENCE OF PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE ON THE EFFICIENCY OF GALENA LEACHING USING NITRIC ACID”, is a research that, due to its type, is applied, due to its explanatory level and due to its experimental design, whose objective is to determine the Influence of nitric acid on the leaching of galena. To confirm the hypothesis, experimental tests were carried out in which the leaching parameters were first established, such as the granulometry of the mineral, the operating temperature, the residence time, the concentration of nitric acid. For all these parameters, the demonstration experiences were designed that allowed the necessary information to be collected to base the research work. It was determined that the appropriate concentration of nitric acid is 14%, the working temperature that allows rapid and efficient leaching is 40°C when the system pressure is 820 mm Hg. We worked with a mineral with a # 400 mesh granulometry, conditions that allowed leaching to be carried out in a time of 60 minutes.
