Conocimiento y actitud respecto a inspección visual con ácido acético en pacientes del Centro de Salud Tinguiña, Ica, Perú, 2025

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre conocimiento y actitud respecto a inspección visual con ácido acético en pacientes del Centro de Salud Tinguiña, Ica, Perú 2025. Metodología: Estudio básico, de corte transversal y prospectivo, de nivel relacional y diseño no experimental; teniendo una muestra de 99 mujeres y un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia; se utilizó el cuestionario estructurado como instrumento habiendo sido validado por tres expertos. Resultados: Del total de 99 participantes, el 42,4% (42) presentó una actitud favorable y el 57,6% (57) una actitud desfavorable. Respecto al nivel de conocimiento el 51.5% fue de nivel medio; por otro lado, en el nivel de conocimiento bajo se registraron el 28,3% y el conocimiento alto con 20.2%. En el grupo con conocimiento alto se registraron el 20,2% del total, de este grupo, el 19,2% mostró una actitud favorable frente al examen de IVAA. En el grupo que presentó conocimiento medio que fueron el 51,5% del total, de ellas el 28,3% mostró una actitud desfavorable. En el grupo con conocimiento bajo se registró el 28,3%; de las cuales el 15,2% presentó una actitud desfavorable. Conclusión: Existe relación significativa entre conocimiento y actitud respecto a inspección visual con ácido acético en pacientes del Centro de Salud Tinguiña, Ica, Perú, 2025.

Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge and attitude regarding visual inspection with acetic acid in patients at the Tinguiña Health Center, Ica, Peru, 2025. Methodology: A basic, cross-sectional, prospective, relational study with a non-experimental design; the sample consisted of 99 women selected using non-probability convenience sampling; a structured questionnaire, validated by three experts, was used as the instrument. Results: Of the 99 participants, 42.4% (42) had a favorable attitude and 57.6% (57) had an unfavorable attitude. Regarding knowledge level, 51.5% had an intermediate level; 28.3% had a low level of knowledge, and 20.2% had a high level. Within the group with high knowledge (20.2% of the total), 19.2% showed a favorable attitude towards the VIA exam. In the group with intermediate knowledge (51.5% of the total), 28.3% showed an unfavorable attitude. In the group with low knowledge (28.3% of the total), 15.2% showed an unfavorable attitude Conclusion: A significant relationship exists between knowledge and attitude regarding visual inspection with acetic acid in patients at the Tinguiña Health Center, Ica, Peru, 2025.
