Inadequate management of solid hospital waste has a negative impact on the environment. Health establishments must help ensure the safety of staff, patients and visitors to prevent, manage, reduce occupational and health risks associated with the management and disposal of this waste. For this reason, the research raises the objective: To determine the relationship that exists between the application of a Non-Formal Environmental Education Plan and the management of hospital waste. Diagnosis is made at various stages in this waste process, resulting in improper disposal and potential health risks for all staff at that hospital. The research is of a basic type, descriptive level and experimental design. The sample was one hundred and five people made up of medical, administrative and service personnel, to whom a survey was applied, the Chi-square statistic was used to contrast the hypothesis. It is concluded that there is a direct relationship between Environmental Education and the management of hospital waste in the Regional Hospital of Ica.
