no amputado).
mayores de 60 a más años p=0,027 OR=1,7 (IC95%:1,1-2,8), sexo masculino p=0,002 OR=2,2
p=0,000 OR=2,6 (IC95%:1,6-4,2), mal control de la glicemia p=0,000 OR=3,7 (IC95%:2,2-6,2),
III o IV en la clasificación de Wagner p=0,000 OR=3,7 (IC95%:2,2-6,2), hipertenso p=0,003
OR=2,5 (IC95%:1,3-4,6), consumir tabaco p=0,003 OR=2,5 (IC95%:1,3-4,6). El análisis
To identify prognostic factors for amputation in patients with diabetic foot at Regional Hospital of Ica-2022-2023. The research is cross-sectional, retrospective, bivariate, and observational. Relational level, in a population of 210 patients who underwent diabetic foot amputation, obtaining 133 cases (Amputated patients) compared with 133 controls (Non-amputated diabetic patients). Data were analyzed using SPSS v24 statistical program with a confidence level of 95%. Poor prognostic factors for diabetic foot amputation were: Being a patient aged 60 or older p=0.027 OR=1.7 (95%CI: 1.1-2.8), being male p=0.002 OR=2.2 (95%CI: 1.3-3.5), having a duration of type 2 diabetes mellitus of 10 or more years p=0.000 OR=2.6 (95%CI: 1.6-4.2), poor glycemic control p=0.000 OR=3.7 (95%CI: 2.2-6.2), having a foot with grade III or IV in the Wagner classification p=0.000 OR=3.7 (95%CI: 2.2-6.2), being hypertensive p=0.003 OR=2.5 (95%CI: 1.3-4.6), smoking p=0.003 OR=2.5 (95%CI: 1.3-4.6). Multivariate analysis reveals that all variables have independent prognostic value for diabetic foot amputation. The prognostic factors for amputation in patients with diabetic foot at Regional Hospital of Ica-2022-2023 are advanced age, male sex, duration of diabetes of 10 or more years, poor glycemic control, advanced infection grade, arterial hypertension, and tobacco consumption
