Abstract
El presente estudio descriptivo de tipo cuantitativo, transversal, que incluyó el total de fallecidos por COVID-19 en el Hospital “San Juan de Dios” de Pisco durante el período de enero a diciembre del 2021. La información se ingresó al programa estadístico SPSS para su procesamiento, tomando la base de datos del SINADEF (Sistema Nacional de Defunciones) y las historias clínicas del servicio de estadística de enero a diciembre de 2021.
Se reportaron 432 casos de pacientes que fallecieron con diagnóstico de Covid-19 que acudieron al hospital “San Juan de Dios” de Pisco durante el periodo enero a diciembre del 2021, la mortalidad por Covid-19 según edad media es de 60.65 años siendo las edades mínima y máxima 24 y 101 años; los grupos de edad más afectados fueron de 51 -59 y 60 – 68 años, cada uno con 99 casos que sumados se acercan al 50% del total; en relación al género, se obtuvo que los hombres son afectados en su mayoría con un 60,18%, mientras que las mujeres son afectadas en un 39,82%, la estancia hospitalaria tiene una media aritmética de 6.65 días (7 días) que equivale en promedio a una semana siendo el mínimo de un día de estancia hospitalaria con un máximo de 60 días. La mortalidad por Covid-19 en el Hospital “San Juan de Dios” durante el periodo enero – diciembre del 2021 según grupo etario tuvo una media de 60.65 años, siendo las edades mínima y máxima fue de 24 y 101 años siendo los grupos de edad más afectados de 51 – 59 y 60 - 68 años que correspondió a 198 pacientes que hace aproximadamente cerca del 50% del total de fallecidos por COVID-19. La mortalidad según sexo predomino en el masculino con 60.18% vs 39.82% en el femenino. La estancia hospitalaria promedio fue de 6.65dias lo que equivale aproximadamente a una semana.
