Bruxismo relacionado al estrés en pacientes adultos atendidos en el centro de salud San Juan Bautista, Ica 2022

Abstract

La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el bruxismo y el estrés en pacientes adultos atendidos en el Centro De Salud San Juan Bautista, Ica 2022. Metodología: El tipo de investigación fue básica; diseño no experimental, transversal, prospectivo. Se evaluaron a 148 pacientes por medio de una encuesta y cuestionarios para poder medir el nivel de estrés y ansiedad, también se usó el examen clínico dental para poder detectar el bruxismo. Resultados: Según edad, los pacientes de 36-45 años presentaron mayor prevalencia de bruxismo relacionado al estrés obteniendo un porcentaje de 44.6% y fue más frecuente en hombres, siendo el 63.5% de la población. El 52.0% fue en su mayoría personas atendidas con bruxismo leve; el grupo etario de 36-45 años fue la población que presentó mayor índice en bruxismo leve con 44.6% y en su mayoría del sexo femenino con 29.7%. El mayor nivel de estrés en pacientes adultos atendidos en el Centro De Salud San Juan Bautista, Ica 2022 fue el moderado, siendo un 56.8% de la población atendida, sin embargo, el estrés leve prevaleció en el grupo etario de 36 - 45 años con 29.7%; con respecto al sexo prevaleció el estrés moderado en la población masculina con 42.6%. Conclusión: Existe relación significativa entre el bruxismo y el estrés en pacientes adultos atendidos en el Centro De Salud San Juan Bautista, Ica 2022.The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between bruxism and stress in adult patients treated at the San Juan Bautista Health Center, Ica 2022. Methodology: The type of research was basic; non-experimental, cross-sectional, prospective design. 148 patients were evaluated by means of a survey and questionnaires to be able to measure the level of stress and anxiety, the dental clinical examination was also used to detect bruxism. Results: According to age, patients between 36-45 years old presented a higher prevalence of stress-related bruxism, obtaining a percentage of 44.6% and it was more frequent in men, being 63.5% of the population. 52.0% were mostly people treated with mild bruxism; the age group of 36-45 years was the population that presented the highest rate of mild bruxism with 44.6% and mostly female with 29.7%. The highest level of stress in adult patients treated at the San Juan Bautista Health Center, Ica 2022 was moderate, being 56.8% of the population attended, however mild stress prevailed in the age group of 36 - 45 years with 29.7 %; Regarding sex, moderate stress prevailed in the male population with 42.6%. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between bruxism and stress in adult patients treated at the San Juan Bautista Health Center, Ica 2022.
