Determine the relationship between nutritional status and dental caries in children aged 6 to 9 years from I. E. 22382 Juan Pablo II in Subtanjalla-Ica, 2022. Material and method: The research is observational, descriptive and relational; With a sample of 100 schoolchildren from the I.E 22382 Juan Pablo II in Subtanjalla-Ica, the instrument used was a registration form that consists of 3 parts, designed and used for the registration of personal data, ceod index, body mass index and nutritional condition. Results: The results reveal that 11.0% of the schoolchildren have a CEOD Index of 0, while 96.0% have a CEOD Index equal to or less than 14. 68.0% of the schoolchildren have "Under Weight ", 28.0% in "Normweight", and only 4.0% in "Overweight". ConclusionThe Spearman correlation reveals a moderate negative relationship between the CEOD Index and Nutritional Status, with a coefficient of -0.241. This suggests that as the CEOD Index increases, Nutritional Status tends to decrease and vice versa, therefore there is a statistically significant association between nutritional status and dental caries. However, there is no statistically significant association between nutritional status and dental caries according to gender. Likewise, there is no evidence of a statistically significant relationship between nutritional status and dental caries according to age in children aged 6 to 9 years of the I. E. 22382 Juan Pablo II in Subtanjalla-Ica, 2022.
