Resumen
El presente estudio buscó determinar la relación entre la motivación académica y el pensamiento
crítico en estudiantes de VIII ciclo de la carrera de enfermería de la Universidad San Luis
Gonzaga, Ica, 2023, en donde ante un estudio correlacional, se aplicó el cuestionario hacia un
total de 82 estudiantes de enfermería. Los resultados indicaron que la motivación académica
presentó relaciones significativas con el pensamiento crítico (0.755), la amplitud mental (0.936),
la capacidad de análisis (0.711) y la madurez para hacer juicios (0.910). Estos valores demostraron
cómo la motivación impulsó a los estudiantes a desarrollar habilidades esenciales, permitiéndoles
cuestionar, evaluar, analizar y tomar decisiones fundamentadas en contextos académicos
exigentes. Se ha concluido que la motivación académica desempeñó un papel crucial en el
desarrollo de competencias clave, facilitando un aprendizaje más profundo y adaptativo. Este
impulso motivacional permitió a los estudiantes enfrentar desafíos académicos con mayor eficacia
y adquirir una comprensión integral que les beneficiará en su formación profesional.
The present study sought to determine the relationship between academic motivation and critical thinking in students of the VIII cycle of the nursing career at the Universidad San Luis Gonzaga, Ica, 2023, where, in a correlational study, the questionnaire was applied to a total of 82 nursing students. The results indicated that academic motivation presented significant relationships with critical thinking (0.755), mental breadth (0.936), analytical capacity (0.711) and maturity to make judgments (0.910). These values demonstrated how motivation drove students to develop essential skills, allowing them to question, evaluate, analyze and make informed decisions in demanding academic contexts. It has been concluded that academic motivation played a crucial role in the development of key competencies, facilitating deeper and more adaptive learning. This motivational drive allowed students to face academic challenges more effectively and acquire a comprehensive understanding that will benefit them in their professional training.
