Resumen
El presente estudio tuvo por Objetivo: Analizar el conocimiento y la adhesión a la suplementación con hierro en madres de niños menores de cuatro años del Centro de Salud de Tate, 2023. Material y métodos: De tipo cuantitativo y transversal, nivel correlacional y diseño no experimental, con muestra de 85 madres, aplicando la técnica encuesta y observación directa. Resultados: Características Sociodemográficas: Edad del menor 6 a 11 meses
55.3%, Edad de la madre 18 y 35 años 62.4%, Situación laboral indicó tener otra ocupación
37.6%, Estado civil de la madre 35.3% de las madres eran casadas, Nivel de estudios 36.5% de las madres tenían estudios superiores o técnico, Número de hijos 37.6% de las madres señaló tener tres o más hijos. El conocimiento sobre suplementación con hierro fue de nivel medio
56.5%, alto 23.5% y bajo 20.0%. Respecto a la adherencia a la suplementación con hierro 54.1% no son adherentes. El conocimiento sobre suplementación con hierro relacionado al tratamiento preventivo de anemia fue de nivel medio 44.7%. En cuanto al conocimiento sobre suplementación de hierro brindado por el personal de salud fue nivel medio 49.4%. El conocimiento sobre suplementación de hierro relacionado a la anemia fue de nivel medio 47.1%. El conocimiento sobre el tratamiento y la adhesión mostraron una relación significativa y correlación positiva considerable con un p valor=0.003 y un coeficiente de 0.525 , además, la relación con el personal de salud y la adhesión reflejaron una relación significativa y correlación positiva media con p valor=0.015 y coeficiente de 0.360 respectivamente, igualmente, el conocimiento sobre la enfermedad y la adhesión demostró una relación significativa y correlación positiva considerable con un p valor=0.010 y un coeficiente de 0.571. Conclusiones: Existe relación significativa entre el conocimiento y la adhesión a la suplementación con hierro en madres de niños menores de cuatro años del Centro de Salud de Tate, 2023.

Knowledge about iron supplementation related to anemia was 47.1%.
