Resumen
La investigación tuvo por objetivo principal explicar los efectos del ruido ambiental en
la salud de los usuarios y trabajadores del mercado Santo Domingo. Se empleó un
estudio aplicado, pre experimental de nivel descriptivo y la muestra quedó conformada
por 2 estaciones de monitoreo, 50 trabajadores y 100 usuarios del mercado. Los
resultados de las encuestas realizadas evidenciaron la percepción de los trabajadores y
usuarios del mercado: el 48% señala que el incremento del ruido ambiental es generado
por el parque automotor, el 48% señala los ruidos generados alrededor del mercado en
las horas de la mañana son molestos y el 43% señala que el ruido generado alrededor
del mercado afecta su salud. Se concluye que el ruido ambiental afecta moderadamente
la salud pública de la población; evidenciándose mayor flujo vehicular en el punto de
monitoreo RA-02 y la mayoría de trabajadores y usuarios encuestados sostienen que
siempre el ruido afecta su salud.
The main objective of the research was to explain the effects of environmental noise on the health of users and workers of the Santo Domingo market. An applied, preexperimental study of descriptive level was used and the sample was made up of 2 monitoring stations, 50 workers and 100 users of the Santo Domingo market. The results of the surveys carried out showed the perception of the workers and users of the market: 48% point out that the increase in environmental noise is generated by the vehicle fleet, 48% point out that the noise generated around the market in the morning hours is annoying and 43% point out that the noise generated around the market affects their health. It is concluded that environmental noise moderately affects the public health of the population; showing most vehicular flow in the monitoring station RA-02 and the majority of workers and users surveyed maintain that noise always affects their health.
