Resumen
Evaluar si existen factores asociados a la preferencia de atención en farmacias, boticas
y establecimientos de salud en personas del Distrito de Ica. de tipo aplicada, descriptiva,
explicativa, prospectiva y transversal, no experimental. Se aplicó a una muestra de 382 personas
previamente validado un cuestionario de preguntas, con los resultados que el 58,1% de los
participantes indican su preferencia de atención por las farmacia y botica y el 41,9% su preferencia
de atención por los establecimientos de salud, el 32,4% de los participantes indican preferir a
atención en farmacia y botica porque la dolencia que padece no es grave, el 22,5% acuden más a
farmacia y botica porque se encuentran cerca de su domicilio, el 12,6% su preferencia es por la
atención rápida y 9,5% por brindar seguridad y confianza en su atención.
Los factores demográficos y socioeconómicos son factores determinantes para muchos usuarios
para su atención acuden a farmacia o botica para recibir tratamiento por dolencias menores, la
mayoría de los usuarios tienen ingreso familiar básico y menor que el básico, además la
congestión, las largas colas, la falta de medicinas y la mala calidad del servicio, hacen que el
usuario considere a los establecimientos de salud como el último lugar para tratarse, llevando
incluso, a que califiquen su malestar como dolencia de menor gravedad con la finalidad de no
pasar por un sistema de salud desagradable.
To evaluate whether there are factors associated with the preference for care in pharmacies, drugstores and health establishments in people from the District of Ica. of applied, descriptive, explanatory, prospective and transversal, non-experimental type. A questionnaire of questions was applied to a sample of 382 people previously validated, with the results that 58.1% of the participants indicate their preference for care in pharmacies and drugstores and 41.9% their preference for care in health establishments, 32.4% of the participants indicate preferring care in pharmacies and drugstores because the ailment they suffer is not serious, 22.5% go more to pharmacies and drugstores because they are close to their home, 12.6% their preference is for quick care and 9.5% for providing security and confidence in their care. Demographic and socioeconomic factors are determining factors for many users, who go to pharmacies or drugstores to receive treatment for minor ailments. Most users have a basic or lower than basic family income. In addition, congestion, long queues, lack of medicines and poor quality of service make users consider health establishments as the last place to be treated, even leading them to classify their discomfort as a less serious ailment in order to avoid going through an unpleasant health system.
