Resumen
Actualmente, en el cercado de Ica, se presenta problemas ambientales por la inadecuada gestión
en el manejo de los RR.SS., generando de esta forma botaderos clandestinos que ponen en riesgo
al ambiente y la salud de la población. Por lo tanto, la investigación planteo como objetivo:
Aplicar un Sistema de Información Geográfica para la gestión ambiental de los residuos sólidos
municipales del Distrito de Ica, Provincia de Ica, Año 2022. El enfoque metodológico de la
investigación es de tipo básico, nivel descriptivo y de diseño no experimental. La muestra estuvo
constituida por las unidades observacionales de puntos y rutas de RR.SS, identificados mediante
el SIG y para la encuesta se aplicó el muestro poblacional a los funcionarios de la Municipalidad
Provincial de Ica, asimismo, se ha empleado como técnica la observación de campo y la encuesta
La aplicación de la Herramienta SIG, identifico 21 puntos críticos de botaderos clandestinos de
RR.SS., por el volumen que acumulan: Camino a Cachiche (15 t/semana), Rio Ica (10 t/semana,
altura del puente Grau), Rio Ica (8 t/semana, margen derecho del Puente Puno) y la entrada a
los Jardines de Villa (5 t/semana): estos puntos son críticos porque representan alto riesgo y
generan deterioro ambiental. Para conocer como los funcionarios de la Municipalidad de Ica,
estaban realizando la gestión de los RR.SS, se aplicó una encuesta de quince preguntas y se
realizó la contrastación de hipótesis, mediante el estadístico de Chi-cuadrado, los resultados
fueron: X2

c 16,252. Por lo que se concluye, que los funcionarios de la Municipalidad
no están ejecutando el PIGRS de acuerdo a la normativa vigente.

The methodological approach of the research is of a basic type, descriptive level and non-experimental design. The sample was constituted by the observational units of points and routes of RR.SS, identified by means of the SIG and for the survey the population sample was applied to the officials of the Provincial Municipality of Ica, likewise, the observation of field and the survey The application of the GIS Tool, identified 21 critical points of clandestine waste dumps, due to the volume they accumulate: Camino a Cachiche (15 t/week), Ica River (10 t/week, height of the Grau Bridge), Ica River (8 t/week, right bank of the Puno Bridge) and the entrance to the Jardines de Villa (5 t/week): these points are critical because they represent high risk and generate environmental deterioration. In order to know how the officials of the Municipality of Ica were managing the social networks, a survey of fifteen questions was applied and the hypothesis contrast was carried out, using the Chisquare statistic, the results were: X2t 9 .49 < X2c 16.252. Therefore, it is concluded that the officials of the Municipality are not executing the PIGRS according to current regulations.
