Resumen
El estudio expone el diseño y la evaluación de una red de fibra óptica que sigue una arquitectura
distribuida, con la finalidad de que un abastecedor de servicios de internet (ISP) ubicado en el
distrito de Ica pueda extender su cobertura hacia el caserío de Pariña Chico. Se llevó a cabo una
investigación que identificó aproximadamente 20 clientes en el área de cobertura, fundamentada
en los usos que se ofrecen, específicamente en datos IP MPLS VPN, VPLS, CDN, administración
de redes e internet. En consecuencia, se estableció una estimación de la inversión inicial, los
ingresos previstos y el grosor de banda suficiente para satisfacer el requerimiento de usos. Dentro
del diseño de la red se empleó fibra óptica, ya que presenta beneficios significativos en cotejo con
otra forma de transmisión, como el cobre o la radio. El estudio realizado indica que el diseño
formulado es económicamente viable, con un amplio margen de beneficios y un veloz recobro de
la inversión inicial. Estos factores hacen que la red sea atrayente para su instalación.
The research presents the design and analysis of an online fiber optic network with a distributed architecture, with the objective that an Internet Service Provider (ISP) located in the district of Ica can expand its access to the hamlet of Pariña Chico. Research was carried out that identified approximately 20 clients in the coverage area, based on the uses offered, specifically in IP data MPLS VPN, VPLS, CDN, network management and Internet. Consequently, an estimate of the initial investment, the expected income and the bandwidth necessary to satisfy the usage requirement was established. Fiber optics was used in the network design, since it presents significant benefits compared to other forms of transmission, such as copper or radio. The study carried out indicates that the formulated design is economically viable, with a wide profit margin and a fast recovery of the initial investment. These factors make the network attractive for its installation.
