The objective was to determine that the degree of depression occurs in patients with diabetic foot at the Santa María del Socorro Hospital in Ica, 2025. Its level of methodology is correlational, basic and descriptive correlational as design. The survey and the instrument were applied as a technique and instrument, and we also worked with a sample of 191 patients with diabetic foot between the ages of 40 and 70 years from Hospital II 1 Santa María del Socorro in Ica. It is determined that the degree of depression occurs in patients with diabetic foot. Due to the chi-square value obtained of 89.192. However, an inadequate relationship has been determined, since depression is a condition that can lead to demotivation and lack of adherence to medical treatments, increasing the risk of developing diabetic foot. However, if the relationship between both variables is not adequately established, it may be due to a deficiency in the clinical and psychological evaluation of patients, to the lack of specific protocols that consider the emotional impact in the treatment of this disease. In addition, it is possible that previous studies at this hospital have not adequately considered the intervening factors, which generates an erroneous or biased perception of the relationship between depression and diabetic foot.
