Factores de riesgo relacionados con la anemia ferropénica en niños de 6 a 24 meses en el “Centro de Salud Pueblo Nuevo”- Chincha 2024

Resumen
El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la relación que existe entre los Factores de riesgo y la
anemia ferropénica en niños de 6 a 24 meses que acuden al “Centro de salud Pueblo Nuevo” -
Chincha 2024. Método: La investigación fue de enfoque cuantitativo, básico, de corte transversal,
correlacional, con un muestral de 61 niños de 6 a 24 meses con anemia ferropénica. Se empleó
un cuestionario de pregunta validado por juicio de expertos. Resultados: El 65,6% de los niños
presentaron anemia leve, 34,4% anemia moderada y ninguno anemia severa. Los factores
sociodemográficos y culturales no constituyen factores relacionados a la presencia de anemia, sin
embargo, las prácticas alimentarias como el consumo sangrecita p>0,05, bazo p>0,05, hígado
p>0,05, carne de res p> 0,05 y huevos p>0,05, se relacionan de manera significativa con la
presencia de la anemia ferropénica en los niños de 6 a 24 meses que acuden al “Centro de salud
Pueblo Nuevo” – Chincha. Se concluye que el consumo de alimentos ricos en hierro es un factor
importante para prevenir y combatir la anemia en los niños, pues proporciona los requerimientos
de hierro necesarios en esta etapa de la vida.
The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between risk factors and iron deficiency anemia in children aged 6 to 24 months who attend the "Pueblo Nuevo Health Center" - Chincha 2024. Method: The research had a quantitative, basic, cross-sectional, correlational approach, with a sample of 61 children aged 6 to 24 months with iron deficiency anemia. A questionnaire validated by expert judgment was used. Results: 65.6% of the children had mild anemia, 34.4% moderate anemia, and none had severe anemia. Sociodemographic and cultural factors are not factors related to the presence of anemia, however, dietary practices such as consumption of blood sausage p>0.05, spleen p>0.05, liver p>0.05, beef p>0.05 and eggs p>0.05, are significantly related to the presence of iron deficiency anemia in children aged 6 to 24 months who attend the “Pueblo Nuevo Health Center” – Chincha. It is concluded that the consumption of iron-rich foods is an important factor to prevent and combat anemia in children, since it provides the iron requirements necessary at this stage of life.
