dc.description.abstractLa investigación tuvo como propósito determinar la influencia de la actividad turística en el desarrollo socio económico de la provincia de Ica. Para el caso, las exigencias científicas y metodológicas, conllevaron a sustentar el trabajo con el conocimiento teórico acorde con las variables de estudio. Por lo tanto, para efectuar el trabajo de campo se utilizaron las técnicas de recolección de datos: observación, encuesta y análisis documental; asimismo para procesar los datos y arribar a los resultados, se utilizaron las técnicas denominadas: Codificación y clasificación de datos, tabulación de datos y los cuadros y representaciones estadísticas. Entonces, en función al tratamiento de los datos, la investigación fue de tipo Básica, según la ciencia de tipo fáctica y de acuerdo al, procesamiento de los datos fue de tipo cuantitativa; de nivel explicativa y diseño transversal. La población estuvo constituida por todas las empresas o establecimientos que se dedican a la actividad turística que operan a nivel de la provincia de Ica, representados por los gerentes o quien dirige la empresa, por lo consiguiente aplicada la formula a un nivel de confianza del 95% y nivel de significación del 5%, el tamaño de la muestra resulto de 380. En tal sentido, para la recolección de datos y comprobación de la hipótesis se aplicó un cuestionario con 15 preguntas, con alternativas medibles acorde con la confiabilidad del caso, antes indicado. En efecto, dado los resultados se llegó a la siguiente conclusión general: La actividad turística incide significativamente en el desarrollo socio económico de la provincia de Ica. ----- The purpose of the research was to determine the influence of tourism activity on the socio-economic development of the province of Ica. In this case, the scientific and methodological requirements led to support the work with theoretical knowledge in accordance with the study variables. Therefore, data collection techniques were used to carry out the field work: observation, survey and documentary analysis; also to process the data and arrive at the results, the techniques called: Codification and classification of data, tabulation of data and tables and statistical representations were used. Then, depending on the treatment of the data, the research was of the Basic type, according to the factual science and according to the data processing, it was quantitative; explanatory level and transversal design. The population was constituted by all the companies or establishments that are dedicated to the tourist activity that operate at the level of the province of Ica, represented by the managers or who directs the company, therefore applied the formula to a level of confidence of 95 % and significance level of 5%, the sample size resulted in 380. In this sense, a questionnaire with 15 questions was applied to the data collection and verification of the hypothesis, with measurable alternatives according to the reliability of the case, indicated above. In fact, given the results, the following general conclusion was reached: Tourism activity significantly affects the socio-economic development of the province of Ica.
