Resumen
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la gestión de tecnologías de información y comunicación (TIC) y los procesos de seguridad informática en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación y Humanidades de la Universidad Nacional “San Luis Gonzaga” (UNICA), Ica, 2023. Fue un estudio de tipo básico, con enfoque cuantitativo, nivel correlacional, y diseño no experimental, transversal. La población y muestra estuvieron conformadas por 30 colaboradores de dicha facultad. Se utilizaron la encuesta y el análisis documental como técnicas de recolección de datos, y como instrumentos, un cuestionario y registros documentales.
Los resultados mostraron un coeficiente de correlación de 0.311, lo que indica una relación positiva moderada entre ambas variables. Esto sugiere que una mejora en la gestión de TIC puede contribuir al fortalecimiento de la seguridad informática, aunque no de forma completamente lineal. Además, el valor de significancia bilateral fue de 0.002, inferior al 0.05, lo que confirma la significancia estadística del resultado. Estos hallazgos destacan la importancia de implementar estrategias eficaces en la gestión de TIC para mejorar la seguridad digital, garantizando así un entorno académico más protegido y eficiente. También permiten orientar políticas tecnológicas enfocadas en la protección de datos e infraestructura informática en instituciones educativas. Se concluyó que existe una relación significativa entre la gestión de TIC y los procesos de seguridad informática en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación y Humanidades, UNICA, 2023.
The present research aimed to determine the relationship between the management of information and communication technologies (TIC) and the processes of information security in the Faculty of Education and Humanities Sciences of the National University “San Luis Gonzaga” (UNICA), Ica, 2023. It was a basic type study, with a quantitative approach, correlational level, and non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The population and sample consisted of 30 collaborators from said faculty. The survey and documentary analysis were used as data collection techniques, and the instruments were a questionnaire and documentary records. The results showed a correlation coefficient of 0.311, which indicates a moderate positive relationship between both variables. This suggests that an improvement in TIC management can contribute to strengthening information security, although not in a completely linear way. In addition, the two-tailed significance value was 0.002, lower than the standard threshold of 0.05, which confirms the statistical significance of the result. These findings highlight the importance of implementing effective strategies in TIC management to improve digital security, thus ensuring a more protected and efficient academic environment. They also help guide technological policies focused on data protection and IT infrastructure in educational institutions.
