Estrategias de afrontamiento y calidad de vida del paciente oncológico tratado en el Hospital Regional de Ica

dc.description.abstract | Identificar la relación entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y la calidad de vida del paciente oncológico tratado en el Hospital Regional de Ica 2023. Estudio observacional, trasversal, prospectiva y analítica, en una población de pacientes oncológicos que se encuentran en tratamiento en el Hospital Regional de Ica entre los meses de abril julio del 2023 que son 104 pacientes, mayores de 20 años y en una muestra de estudio de 82 pacientes. Para la Calidad de vida, se empleó el cuestionario de WHOQOL-100, para la resiliencia la Resilience Scale (RS), para el autocuidado la Calificación de las Agencias de Autocuidado (ASA) y para la soledad social la Escala Este II de soledad social. Resultados. El 39% de pacientes tiene baja calidad de vida, 37,8% tiene media calidad de vida y 23,2% tiene alta calidad de vida. 36,6%tiene resiliencia baja, 42,7% tienen resiliencia media y 20,7% tienen alta resiliencia. 48,8% tienen autocuidado entre muy baja a baja, 35,4% tienen nivel medio y 15,9% tienen autocuidado alto. 41,5% tienen soledad social alta, 34,1% media y 24,4% baja soledad social, existe una correlación entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y la calidad de vida de 89,5% (tau_b de Kendall= 0,895). Se determinó una correlación entre la resiliencia y la calidad de vida de 86,5% (tau_b de Kendall= 0,865). Existe una correlación entre el autocuidado y la calidad de vida de 82,3% (tau_c de Kendall= 0,823). Encontrándose una correlación entre la Soledad Social y la calidad de vida de 91,8% (tau_b de Kendall= -0,918). Conclusión. Existe relación positiva y significativa entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y la calidad de vida del paciente oncológico tratado en el Hospital Regional de Ica 2023 tau b de Kendall= 0,895. ----- To identify the relationship between coping strategies and the quality of life of oncology patients treated at the Regional Hospital of Ica in 2023. Observational, cross-sectional, prospective, and analytical study conducted on a population of oncology patients undergoing treatment at the Regional Hospital of Ica between the months of April and July 2023. The study included 104 patients, over 20 years old, and a study sample of 82 patients. For assessing Quality of Life, the WHOQOL-100 questionnaire was employed; for resilience, the Resilience Scale (RS) was used; for self-care, the Assessment of Self-Care Agencies (ASA) was utilized, and for social loneliness, the Social Loneliness Este II Scale was applied. Results: 39% of patients had a low quality of life, 37.8% had a moderate quality of life, and 23.2% had a high quality of life. 36.6% exhibited low resilience, 42.7% had moderate resilience, and 20.7% showed high resilience. 48.8% had very low to low self-care, 35.4% had a moderate level, and 15.9% had high self-care. 41.5% experienced high social loneliness, 34.1% moderate, and 24.4% low social loneliness. There exists a correlation of 89.5% (Kendall's tau-b = 0.895) between coping strategies and quality of life. A correlation of 86.5% (Kendall's tau-b = 0.865) was determined between resilience and quality of life. A correlation of 82.3% (Kendall's tau-c = 0.823) was found between self-care and quality of life. A correlation of 91.8% (Kendall's tau-b = -0.918) was observed between Social Loneliness and quality of life.
