The AA.HH. Cerro Candela, in the Imperial district, was formed in the 1980s by low-income residents. It has a supply system since 2014, which shows various problems, mainly with its pumping and chlorination system and population growth, not guaranteeing the required pressures and flow. Being necessary to carry out an evaluation to establish technical proposals that guarantee the sustainability of the water resource, a quantitative investigation of the applied type was developed with the hypothesis that the modeling of the network allows analyzing its current efficiency that influences its operation, being the main objective model the network with the WaterCad software and, based on the analysis of the results, prepare proposals for improvement. These indicate previous treatment for the source that guarantees its quality and maintenance for the pumping system. The 2 existing reservoirs ensure water availability. The environmental evaluation indicates the feasibility of the project with environmental adaptation actions. The design population is 2700 inhabitants, demanding a Qmh of 7.5 lps, requiring Class 10 PVC pipes of 58.4 and 42.2 mm inside diameter. The maximum and minimum pressures are 45 and 10 mca, respectively, and pressure break devices, pressure reducers and purge valves must be installed in some sectors. The modeling made it possible to evaluate the proposals for improvement, so that the parameters required by national standards are met and the sustainability of the water resource is guaranteed.
