Funcionamiento familiar y resiliencia en estudiantes del nivel secundario de la Institución Educativa Privada “Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe

Abstract

El principal objetivo de esta investigación es determinar la relación que existe entre el funcionamiento familiar y la resiliencia en estudiantes del nivel secundario de la Institución Educativa Privada “Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe”. La muestra estuvo conformada por 133 estudiantes del sexo masculino y femenino, entre los 12 y 17 años de edad. Esta investigación es de tipo no experimental, con diseño descriptivo-correlacional. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la Escala de Evaluación de Cohesión y Adaptación Familiar (FACES-III) y la Escala de Resiliencia de Wagnild y Young. Se obtuvo que, el 14.3% de los estudiantes presenta un funcionamiento familiar regular y el 41.4% de los estudiantes presenta una resiliencia de nivel moderado. Entre las variables de estudio se identificó una relación estadísticamente significativa (p<0.05) y una correlación positiva de nivel moderado (r=0.426). Es decir, a mayor presencia de funcionamiento familiar, mayor será también, la presencia de la resiliencia en los estudiantes.

The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between family functioning and resilience in secondary level students of the Private Educational Institution "Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe". The sample consisted of 133 male and female students, between 12 and 17 years of age. This research is of a non-experimental type, with a descriptive-correlational design. The instruments used were the Family Cohesion and Adaptation Assessment Scale (FACES-III) and the Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale. It was obtained that 14.3% of the students present regular family functioning and 41.4% of the students present a moderate level of resilience. Among the study variables, a statistically significant relationship (p<0.05) and a positive correlation of moderate level (r=0.426) were identified. That is, the greater the presence of family functioning, the greater will also be the presence of resilience in the students.
