Evaluación de harina de trigo en dietas de engorde de cuyes (Cavia porcellus) sobre los índices productivos en el galpón Santa Rosa del distrito de Puquio, provincia Lucanas, región Ayacucho

Abstract

La crianza de cuyes de forma no tecnificada puede recibir una alimentación sólo a base de forraje, pero si, se desea mejorar su eficiencia se tiene que agregar un suplemento logrando mayor producción y productividad, este estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar dos niveles de harina de trigo (HDT) en la alimentación de los cuyes; en la metodología se utilizó 1 grupo control (0 % HDT), T1 (10% HDT) y T2 (15% HDT) en sus dietas excluyendo totalmente el forraje verde, sobre ganancia de peso, consumo de alimento, rendimiento de carcasa y conversión alimenticia. Se emplearon 63 cuyes todos machos, los animales seleccionados fueron de líneas mejoradas obtenidos de cruces con raza Perú, de aproximadamente 15 días de edad. Los resultados no indican diferencias estadísticas significativas para el peso inicial entre tratamientos, pero si en el peso final, obteniéndose: en el T1 879 g (10% HDT), T2 882 g (15% HDT). Asimismo, se encontró diferencias estadísticas significativas para el consumo total de alimento (solo alimento balanceado) registrándose alrededor de, 2.038g y 2042g. En cuanto a la conversión alimenticia, se obtuvieron mejores resultados en los tratamientos cuyos niveles de HDT en T1 3.51 y T2 3.45. El rendimientos de carcasa alcanzados fueron de 68.18% (0% HDT), 68.11 (10 % HDT) y 69.22 % ( 15 % HDT). Se concluye que con la administración de harina de trigo al 15% se obtiene mejore resultado en cuanto a ganancia de peso, consumo de alimento y conversión alimenticia, debido probablemente al mayor consumo de materia seca, los aminoácidos y nutrientes más altos de ingestión que cuenta la HDT en la que se proporcionó a los animales. La inclusión de HDT en la alimentación de cuyes sin uso de forraje, afectó estadísticamente en el rendimiento de carcasa.

Guinea pigs raised in a non-technical way can receive a diet based only on forage, but if you want to improve their efficiency, you have to add a supplement achieving greater production and productivity, this study had as its objective to evaluate two levels of wheat flour in the diet of guinea pigs; in the Methodology 1 control group was used (0% wheat flour = HDT), T1 (10% HDT) and T2 (15% HDT) in their diets completely excluding green forage on weight gain, feed consumption, carcass yield and feed conversion. This research work was carried out at the Santa Rosa farm, located in the Puquio district, Lucanas province, Ayacucho department, between the months of July and August 2023. The objective of this study was to evaluate two levels of wheat flour (HDT) at 10% and 15% and a control group (0% HDT), in diets for guinea pigs with dry matter and excluding green forage on weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion, 63 guinea pigs were used, all males, the selected animals were from improved lines obtained from crosses with the Peru breed, approximately 15 days old, there were two treatments and a control group each group with 3 repetitions. The results do not indicate significant statistical differences for the initial weight between treatments but yes in the final weight, obtaining: in T1 879 g (10% HDT), T2 882 g (15% HDT). Likewise, statistically significant differences were found for total feed consumption (balanced feed only), which was recorded at around 2038 g and 2042 g. Regarding feed conversion, better results were obtained in the treatments with HDT levels in T1 3.51 and T2 3.45. The carcass yields achieved were 68.18% (0% HDT), 68.11 (10% HDT) and 69.22% (15% HDT). It is concluded that in T2 better results were obtained in terms of weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion, probably due to the higher dry matter consumption, amino acids and higher ingestion nutrients that the HDT in which the animals were provided has. The inclusion of HDT in the feeding of guinea pigs without the use of forage statistically affected carcass yield.
