The purpose of this monograph is to describe phytosanitary inspections, monitoring and management of the fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata W.) and the implementation of various actions aimed at its control. It also focuses on identifying control strategies. It also examines the number of fruit fly species present, and details the procedure to obtain phytosanitary certification that regulates the movement of hosts of this pest within the country, avoiding damage and the spread of this quarantine pest. The study is based on information obtained from reports on infestations of this species, which confirm that various agro-exporting companies of table grapes have maintained the absence of the fruit fly. Within the agro-industrial sector, implement preventive actions to prevent this pest from impacting table grape crops, protecting the quality of the product and preventing the loss of value in international markets. Various monitoring techniques used to control this pest are also detailed, as well as the phytosanitary inspections carried out by SENASA and its specialized team. Based on the analysis of the data collected, it is concluded that companies dedicated to the production of table grapes have managed to keep their crops free of the fruit fly, which has allowed them to obtain the required phytosanitary certification. The evaluation and infestation records allow the tracking of foci of infested hosts, which facilitates the identification of areas with the presence of this quarantine pest.
