Nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal y características sociodemográficas de las gestantes atendidas en el Centro de Salud “Tupac Amaru Inca” – Pisco, 2024

Abstract

Objetivo: La investigación tuvo por objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal y las características sociodemográficas de las gestantes atendidas en el Centro de Salud “Tupac Amaru Inca” – Pisco, 2024. Materiales y métodos: La investigación fue cuantitativa, no experimental y descriptiva; la muestra estuvo conformada por 78 gestantes atendidas en el Centro de Salud “Tupac Amaru Inca”, seleccionadas por muestreo no probabilístico e intencional. Los datos se recolectaron mediante una encuesta y la aplicación del “Cuestionario de nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal”. Resultados: Los resultados evidenciaron que, “el 68% de las gestantes encuestadas presentó un nivel de conocimiento regular sobre salud bucal; el 22%, un nivel malo; y el 10%, un nivel bueno. En cuanto a las dimensiones, el nivel de conocimiento destado en las gestantes sobre medidas preventivas, enfermedades bucales, atención odontológica y desarrollo dental fue regular con un 54%, 62%, 54% y 60% respectivamente”. Conclusión: el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal de las gestantes atendidas en el Centro de Salud “Tupac Amaru Inca” fue regular.

Objective: The research aimed to determine the level of knowledge about oral health and the sociodemographic characteristics of pregnant women treated at the "Tupac Amaru Inca" Health Center - Pisco, 2024. Materials and methods: The research was quantitative, non-experimental and descriptive; the sample consisted of 78 pregnant women treated at the "Tupac Amaru Inca" Health Center, selected by non-probabilistic and intentional sampling. The data were collected through a survey and the application of the "Oral Health Knowledge Level Questionnaire". Results: The results showed that 68% of the pregnant women surveyed had a regular level of knowledge about oral health; 22% had a poor level; and 10% had a good level. Regarding the dimensions, the level of knowledge revealed in pregnant women about preventive measures, oral diseases, dental care and dental development was regular with 54%, 62%, 54% and 60% respectively. Conclusion: The level of knowledge about oral health among pregnant women treated at the “Tupac Amaru Inca” Health Center was average.
