Comportamiento sexual gestacional en usuarias del servicio de Obstetricia del Centro de salud San Martin de Porres, Ica, Perú, 2025

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar el comportamiento sexual durante la gestación en usuarias del servicio de Obstetricia del Centro de Salud San Martín de Porres, Ica, Perú, 2025. Métodos: La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño no experimental, descriptivo y de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 120 gestantes, seleccionadas mediante muestreo censal. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó la técnica de encuesta y como instrumento un cuestionario estructurado, previamente validado mediante juicio de expertos, orientado a evaluar las diferentes dimensiones del comportamiento sexual durante los tres trimestres del embarazo. El análisis estadístico se realizó a través de estadística descriptiva, utilizando frecuencias y porcentajes. Resultados: El 45% de las gestantes tenía entre 25 y 34 años, el 40% contaba con nivel de educación superior, el 60% eran convivientes, el 70% inició su vida sexual antes de los 18 años, el 50% eran primíparas y el 36.7% se encontraba en el tercer trimestre de gestación. En relación con el comportamiento sexual, el 46.7% mantenía relaciones sexuales una vez por semana, el 36.7% indicó mantener el mismo nivel de satisfacción, y el 45% refirió una disminución en la frecuencia sexual por decisión de la pareja. Asimismo, el 70% no presentó molestias durante las relaciones sexuales, el 40% prefirió la posición de lado, el 80% consideró que las relaciones sexuales no afectan al feto y el 93% manifestó no experimentar sentimientos de culpa por mantener actividad sexual durante el embarazo. Sin embargo, se observó una disminución del deseo sexual conforme avanzaba la gestación. Conclusión: El comportamiento sexual durante la gestación en las usuarias del servicio de Obstetricia del Centro de Salud San Martín de Porres, Ica, Perú, en el año 2025, evidenció una disminución progresiva del deseo sexual a medida que avanzó la edad gestacional, mientras que las demás dimensiones del comportamiento sexual se mantuvieron relativamente estables durante el periodo de estudio.


Objective: To determine gestational sexual behavior in users of the Obstetrics service at the San Martín de Porres Health Center, Ica, Peru, 2025. Methods: The study was quantitative in approach, descriptive, cross-sectional, and non-experimental in design. The sample consisted of 120 pregnant women selected through census sampling. The survey technique was used, and the instrument was a structured questionnaire validated by expert judgment, aimed at evaluating the dimensions of sexual behavior during the three trimesters of pregnancy. Statistical analysis was descriptive, using frequencies and percentages. Results: Forty-five percent of the pregnant women were between 25 and 34 years old, 40% had higher education, 60% were cohabiting, 70%, initiated sexual activity before the age of 18, 50% were primiparous, and 36.7% were in the third trimester. Regarding sexual behavior, 46.7% had sexual intercourse once per week, 36.7% maintained the same level of satisfaction, 45% reported a decrease in sexual frequency due to their partner, 70% reported no discomfort, 40% preferred the side-lying position, 80% believed that sexual intercourse does not affect the fetus, and 93% reported no feelings of guilt regarding sexual activity. A decrease in sexual desire was observed as pregnancy progressed. Conclusion: Gestational sexual behavior in users of the Obstetrics service at the San Martín de Porres Health Center, Ica, Peru, 2025, showed a progressive decrease in sexual desire as gestational age advanced, while the other dimensions of sexual behavior remained relatively stable during the study period.
