Three secondary streets: Calle No. 13, Calle San Francisco and Calle Los Pacaes in the Trapiche farmhouse, in the Los Molinos district, province and department of Ica, are in poor condition, with problems at the surface and structural level, requiring improvement. at the stated level, therefore, an analysis of its characteristics is required as a first step for a subsequent proposal. Being necessary to analyze the physical and mechanical characteristics of the material for a design proposal of pavements, a quantitative research of the applied type was developed with the hypothesis: The physical and mechanical characteristics of the Las Tortolitas quarry will determine the quality of the pavement to be used in roads. secondary schools in the hamlet of Trapiche. The objective was: To carry out the analysis of the physical and mechanical characteristics of the material from the Las Tortolitas quarry for the design of pavements in secondary roads in the village of Trapiche. The physical and mechanical characteristics of the material of the streets is of lower quality than that of the Las Tortolitas quarry, with this the value of the CBR was obtained at 100% of M.D.S. of 88.00% being higher than that of the streets with a value of 29.00%. It is concluded that: The physical and mechanical characteristics of the material determine the quality of the material to be used in secondary roads in the Trapiche village.
