Prácticas de Lactancia Materna en relación a factores sociodemográficos en madres atendidas en el Centro de Salud La Palma Ica, 2023

Resumen
Se realizó un estudio con el objetivo de determinar la relación que existe entre la lactancia
materna y los factores sociodemográficos en madres atendidas en el Centro de Salud La Palma
Ica, 2023.
La metodología empleada fue un estudio de tipo observacional, prospectiva y de corte transversal,
con un nivel relacional y diseño no experimental; la muestra se conformó por 200 madres de
niños, utilizando la técnica de la entrevista y la encuesta como instrumento.
Dentro de los factores sociales: la edad el estado civil y la procedencia si tienen relación con la
lactancia materna. En los factores demográficos se observó que el número de hijos y el grado de
instrumento guardan relación con la lactancia
Las mujeres convivientes fueron las que más porcentaje tuvieron (51%) seguida de las madres
solteras quienes arrojaron un porcentaje de 30.5% y finalmente las mujeres casadas que fueron
18.5% según el estudio. Con respecto a la ocupación la mayor cantidad de casos se dieron con un
54% en amas de casa, seguido de las que trabajan de manera independiente con un 27% y por
últimos las madres desempleadas con un 19%. La procedencia de estas madres en su mayoría de
zonas urbanas con un 54% seguido de las periurbanas con un 18.5% y finalmente las de zona rural
con un 0.5%. En el rango de edad predominante según el estudio estuvo comprendido entre las
mujeres de 20 a 35 años de edad con un total de 77.5%, seguido por las mujeres con las edades
mayores a 35 y finalmente las menores de 19 años fueron representadas por el 11%.
Los resultados fueron, en el aspecto demográfico encontramos que el 77.5% de las madres tenían
edades entre 20 a 35 años, 51% convivientes, 54% amas de casa y 81% eran procedentes de la
zona urbana; en el aspecto social el 50.5% tenía un solo hijo y el 38% con grado de instrucción
secundaria. El 68.5% daba lactancia materna exclusiva, 29% lactancia mixta y 2.5% sólo con
fórmula.
Conclusión: Existe relación significativa entre la lactancia materna y los factores
sociodemográficos en madres atendidas en el Centro de Salud La Palma Ica, 2023.

Regarding occupation, the largest number of cases occurred with 54% in housewives, followed by those who work independently with 27% and finally unemployed mothers with 19%. The origin of these mothers was mostly from urban areas with 54%, followed by peri-urban areas with 18.5% and finally those from rural areas with 0.5%.The predominant age range according to the study was between women between 20 and 35 years of age with a total of 77.5%, followed by women aged over 35 and finally those under 19 years of age were represented by 11%. The results were, in the demographic aspect we found that 77.5% of the mothers were between 20 and 35 years old, 51% were cohabitants, 54% were housewives and 81% were from the urban area; In the social aspect, 50.5% had only one child and 38% had a secondary education level. 68.5% were exclusively breastfed, 29% mixed breastfed and 2.5% only with formula.
