Resumen
El objetivo, de la investigación “fue proponer un sistema de gestión de seguridad y
salud ocupacional que contribuya en disminuir los factores de riesgos laborales en la
minería artesanal, Acarí, Arequipa”. Estrategia metodológica, La investigación se
llevó a cabo mediante un enfoque mixto que combinó métodos cualitativos y
cuantitativos. La información se utilizó para diseñar un marco de sistema de gestión
de seguridad y salud ocupacional adaptado a las necesidades y características de la
minería artesanal en la zona de estudio. Resultados, revelaron una serie de factores de
riesgo laborales significativos en la minería artesanal de Acarí, falta de capacitación
en seguridad y limitado acceso a equipos de protección personal adecuados. Además,
se identificaron deficiencias en los sistemas de gestión de seguridad y salud
ocupacional existentes, destacando la necesidad de implementar un enfoque más
integral y proactivo para abordar estos riesgos. Discusión, se centró en la comparación
de los hallazgos obtenidos con las prácticas actuales en materia de seguridad y salud
ocupacional en la minería artesanal. Se analizaron las limitaciones de los sistemas de
gestión existentes y se exploraron las posibles soluciones para mejorar la prevención
y mitigación de los riesgos laborales en este sector. Conclusión, este sistema debe
abordar los riesgos laborales únicos de este sector y debe incluir medidas preventivas
y correctivas sólidas, capacitación adecuada para los trabajadores y un monitoreo
continuo del cumplimiento de las normativas de seguridad.
The objective of the research “was to propose an occupational health and safety management system that contributes to reducing occupational risk factors in artisanal mining, Acarí, Arequipa”. Methodological strategy, the research was carried out using a mixed approach that combined qualitative and quantitative methods. The information was used to design an occupational health and safety management system framework adapted to the needs and characteristics of artisanal mining in the study area. Results, revealed a series of significant occupational risk factors in the artisanal mining of Acari, lack of safety training and limited access to adequate personal protective equipment. Additionally, deficiencies were identified in existing occupational health and safety management systems, highlighting the need to implement a more comprehensive and proactive approach to address these risks. Discussion, focused on the comparison of the findings obtained with current practices regarding occupational safety and health in artisanal mining. The limitations of existing management systems were analyzed and possible solutions were explored to improve the prevention and mitigation of occupational risks in this sector. Conclusion, this system must address the unique occupational risks of this sector and must include strong preventive and corrective measures, adequate training for workers, and continuous monitoring of compliance with safety regulations.
