Intervención educativa sobre el conocimiento del virus papiloma humano en alumnos de una Institución Educativa Pública, Ica, Perú- 2025

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la efectividad de la intervención educativa sobre el conocimiento del virus papiloma humano en alumnos de una Institución Educativa Pública, Ica, Perú- 2025 Material y método: El estudio de tipo aplicada, prospectiva, transversal; de nivel descriptivo y de diseño preexperimental, la muestra estuvo compuesta por 108 estudiantes del 5° grado de secundaria de la Institución Educativa José Toribio Polo, ubicada en Ica, Perú. Resultados: dentro de los resultados se tuvo que el 52.8% tenían de 16 a 17 años, el 70.4% fue de sexo masculino, el 61.6% son católicos y el 73.1% solo estudia. En cuanto al pre test sobre el nivel de conocimiento, fue un 55.6% de nivel bajo, el 42.6% fue de nivel medio y el 1.9% de nivel alto. Luego posterior a la intervención el nivel de conocimiento fue de nivel alto con un 75.9% y el 24.1% de nivel medio. En las dimensiones, sobre definiciones en el pre test el 51.9% fue de nivel medio y en el post test el 90.7% fue de nivel alto; en la dimensión modo de trasmisión, en el pre test el 53.7% fue de nivel bajo y en el post test fue de nivel alto en un 67.6%; en la dimensión diagnóstico, en el pretest fue de nivel bajo en un 69.4% y en el post test fue de nivel medio con un 55.6%; en la dimensión prevención, en el pretest fue de nivel bajo con un 75.9% y en el post test fue de nivel alto con un 49.1%. Conclusión: La intervención educativa tiene un efecto significativo en el conocimiento del virus papiloma humano en alumnos de una Institución Educativa Pública, Ica, Perú- 2025.

Objective: To determine the effectiveness of an educational intervention on human papillomavirus (HPV) knowledge among students at a public school in Ica, Peru, in 2025. Materials and Methods: This applied, prospective, cross-sectional study employed a descriptive, pre-experimental design. The sample consisted of 108 fifth-year secondary school students from the José Toribio Polo Educational Institution, located in Ica, Peru. Results: The results showed that 52.8% of participants were between 16 and 17 years old, 70.4% were male, 61.6% were Catholic, and 73.1% were only students. Regarding the pre-test on knowledge level, 55.6% had a low level, 42.6% a medium level, and 1.9% a high level. After the intervention, the knowledge level was high in 75.9% of participants and medium in 24.1%. In terms of definitions, 51.9% had a medium level in the pre-test and 90.7% had a high level in the post-test; in the mode of transmission dimension, 53.7% had a low level in the pretest and 67.6% had a high level in the post-test. In the diagnostic dimension, in the pretest it was at a low level in 69.4% and in the post test it was at a medium level with 55.6%; in the prevention dimension, in the pretest it was at a low level with 75.9% and in the post test it was at a high level with 49.1%. They concluded: The educational intervention has a significant effect on the knowledge of the human papillomavirus among students at a public educational institution in Ica, Peru, in 2025.
