Inteligencia emocional y agresividad en estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Secundaria Parroquial “José María Arguedas”, Puquio

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre la inteligencia emocional y la agresividad en estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Secundaria Parroquial “José María Arguedas”, Puquio. La metodología empleada en el estudio fue de tipo básico, nivel descriptivo – correlacional, diseño no experimental de corte transversal. Asimismo, la población estuvo conformada por 282 estudiantes, la muestra representativa fue de 162 estudiantes que pertenecen a la Institución Educativa Secundaria Parroquial “José María Arguedas”. La técnica que se empleó para la recolección de datos fue la encuesta; asimismo, los instrumentos utilizados fueron el Inventario de Inteligencia Emocional BarOn Ice – Abreviado y el Cuestionario de Agresión. Los resultados que se encontraron indican que el valor predominante de la inteligencia emocional fue el nivel alto. Asimismo, el nivel con mayor prevalencia en la variable agresividad es el nivel muy bajo. Por lo tanto, se concluye que existe una relación negativa alta (r=-.905) y significativa (p<0.05) entre la inteligencia emocional y la agresividad en estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Secundaria Parroquial “José María Arguedas” Puquio, 2024.

The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and aggression in students of the “José María Arguedas” Parochial Secondary Educational Institution, Puquio. The methodology used in the study was of a basic type, descriptive-correlational level, non-experimental cross-sectional design. Likewise, the population consisted of 282 students, the representative sample was 162 students who belong to the “José María Arguedas” Parochial Secondary Educational Institution. The technique used for data collection was the survey; likewise, the instruments used were the BarOn Ice Emotional Intelligence Inventory – Abbreviated and the Aggression Questionnaire. The results found indicate that the predominant value of emotional intelligence was the high level. Likewise, the level with the highest prevalence in the aggressiveness variable is the very low level. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a high negative relationship (r=-.905) and significant (p<0.05) between emotional intelligence and aggressiveness in students of the Parochial Secondary Educational Institution “José María Arguedas” Puquio, 2024.
