determinó la presencia de menor infección parasitaria en las alumnas de estudio (p < 0,05);
This study aims to determine if the intestinal parasitosis present in students of the educational institution Margarita Santa Ana de Benavides de Ica, is related to the achievement of skills. A basic investigation and correlational non-experimental design was carried out, whose sample was 80 students. A parasitological examination was carried out and an evaluation sheet on mathematics and communication was applied. Of the results obtained, it is found that 33.7% resulted in parasitic infection, in whom monoparasitism was the most frequent, grouping 77.8%, indicating Giardia lamblia as the main pathogen; while biparasitism, grouped 22.2%, with the association G. lamblia and H. nana; a significant relationship was found between intestinal parasitism and the achievement of mathematical and communication skills of the students (p < 0.05); where those who are in the process of achieving it and those who did not achieve it were the most affected with the parasitic infection; the year of studies did not influence the prevalence of intestinal parasitism, although those in the first year were the ones that presented the highest cases of infection (p > 0.05); the information received about the parasites determined the presence of less parasitic infection in the study students (p < 0.05); concluding that intestinal parasitism continues to cause health problems, likewise affects student learning.
