Redes sociales y procrastinación de los estudiantes del tercer grado del nivel secundario de la Institución Educativa San Luis Gonzaga

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre el uso de las redes sociales y la procrastinación académica de los estudiantes del tercer grado del nivel secundario de la institución educativa San Luis Gonzaga. El estudio es de tipo básico, nivel descriptivo, enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño no experimental por consecuencia se busca describir las variables de estudio, identificando los fenómenos investigados de manera específica. Para el recojo de datos se utilizó el cuestionario, el cual está construido por una serie de preguntas relativas a las variables de estudio para la comprobación de hipótesis. La población está constituida 510 estudiantes de la Institución Educativa San Luis Gonzaga seleccionando la muestra de 220 estudiantes del tercer grado de secundaria. Luego de la aplicación del instrumento e identificado los hallazgos se concluye que, si existe relación significativa entre el uso de las redes sociales y la procastinación académica de los estudiantes del tercer grado del nivel secundario de la institución educativa San Luis Gonzaga, así lo reafirma el valor sigma de 0,000 que permite demostrarlo, además de haber obtenido un valor de relación de 0,769 que mostró una correlación positiva alta entre ambas variables de estudio. Un valor de sigma igual a 0,000 indica que la probabilidad de que la relación observada entre el uso de las redes sociales y la procastinación académica sea el resultado del azar es extremadamente baja. En otras palabras, hay una alta probabilidad de que la relación sea genuina y no se deba al azar.

After applying the instrument and identifying the findings, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the use of social networks and academic procastination of students in the third grade of secondary school at the San Luis Gonzaga Educational Institution, as confirmed by the sigma value of 0.000, which demonstrates this, in addition to having obtained a relationship value of 0.769, which showed a high positive correlation between the two study variables. A sigma value equal to 0.000 indicates that the probability that the observed relationship between social network use and academic procastination is the result of chance is extremely low. In other words, there is a high probability that the relationship is genuine and not due to chance.
