This thesis entitled "Relationship between the composition of gasohol and the operating conditions in the high compression otto engine" is a theoretical-experimental research that addresses the study of ethanol-gasoline fuel mixtures that are called gasoholes and that They are used in internal combustion engines under certain formulation conditions such as the physicochemical characteristics of both components, which must be completely anhydrous to avoid corrosion of the engines and good performance of the fuel in the engine during its operation. In the tests carried out, it has been proven that the formulations used do not differ much from premium gasoline, since their densities and volatilities are within the limits allowed for this gasoline designed for work in high compression engines. Their densities are within the limit of 0.73 g/mL to 0.76 g/mL, which correspond to high-octane gasoline, and their volatilities are in the range of 39 to 45°C, which correspond to gasoline that allows quick starting and good distribution in the cylinders, as well as adequate heating without forming steam plugs or producing knocking.
