Material y
The objective of this study was: To determine the relationship between work stress and the quality of care provided by nurses at the Regional Hospital of Ica - 2023. Material and methods: Descriptive, correlational, non-experimental, quantitative approach. A sample of 54 nurses and 54 hospitalized patients was included, two validated and reliable questionnaires were applied. Results: In the study on the relationship between work stress and the quality of care provided by nurses at the Regional Hospital of Ica, the Spearman Rho test was used for each specific objective, finding in all cases that there was no significant correlation between the variables, the variable quality of care the majority rated the care as good with 83.3% highlighting communication with 74.1%, while work stress was medium with 81.5% highlighting personal variables related to stress with 74.1%. The results were as follows: for the overall relationship between work stress and quality of care (Rho: -0.019; p: 0.892), and for each dimension of stress (effects, consequences, personal variables, protective psychological variables, and stress level reduction), with Rho values ranging from -0.038 to 0.179, and p-values greater than 0.05, indicating the absence of a significant relationship. Conclusion: work stress is not significantly associated with the quality of care provided by nurses at the Ica 2023 Regional Hospital (Rho: -0.019; p:0.892).
