Resumen
En tiempos de crecientes desafíos y crisis mundiales, esta investigación
adquiere gran relevancia al estudiar la inteligencia espiritual y la actitud hacia la vida
en los estudiantes universitarios porque va a permitir entender aspectos relevantes de la
vida como el estado emocional, espiritual y como este se relaciona con la actitud hacia
la vida, ya que niveles adecuados de ambas variables podrían determinar la capacidad
para afrontar situaciones complejas y ofrecer atenciones compasivas especialmente en
estudiantes de ciencias de la salud.
Objetivo: Demostrar la asociación entre la inteligencia espiritual con la actitud hacia la
vida en estudiantes universitarios de una universidad pública peruana.
Métodos: Investigación de tipo observacional, transversal y prospectiva, en 386
estudiantes universitarios. Se aplicó un cuestionario ad hoc para variables de
caracterización, la Escala de Inteligencia Espiritual en la Práctica Sanitaria (E-IEPS) y
la Escala de Esperanza de Herth. Se incluyó un análisis estadístico de nivel descriptivo
y se evaluaron diferencia estadísticas con el Chi-cuadrado de homogeneidad.
Resultados: De los participantes fueron de sexo femenino (70,7%), estudiantes de
farmacia y bioquímica (34,7%), estado civil soltero (93,0%) y tenían entre 18 - 29 años
(94,6%). El 50,3% alcanzó mayor nivel de inteligencia espiritual y 59,6% menor nivel
de actitud hacia la vida. En el grupo de estudiantes universitarios con mayor actitud
hacia vida el 70,5% tenían mayor inteligencia espiritual.
Conclusión: Se demostró la asociación entre la inteligencia espiritual con la actitud
hacia la vida en estudiantes universitarios de una universidad pública peruana. Se puede
inferir que la inteligencia espiritual incrementa la probabilidad de tener mayor actitud
hacia la vida.
